Why it works

Smarter energy, with numbers you can check

Our designs use the same engine as our solar planner: your roof, twenty years of British weather and a real household load profile. What we quote is what you should see on your bills.

  • We measure the roof by drone, then model every hour of a typical year for your postcode, orientation and pitch before we recommend a single panel.

  • Lunchtime sun is stored and released between 5 and 9pm, when British homes use the most power and grid prices peak. Most customers barely import before bedtime.

  • In winter the battery tops up on cheap overnight rates. In summer it fills from the roof. We set it up and switch your export tariff so spare power earns around 15p a unit.

  • Our batteries keep the circuits you choose, like the fridge, boiler and router, running through a power cut, recharging from the panels as they go.

  • See what the roof is making, what the battery holds and what you’ve saved, live in the PureRay app. We watch for faults too and call you first.

Frequently asked questions

Talk to a solar adviser, not a call centre. Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

Call 0117 000 0000
  1. One day for most solar-only homes and two days with a battery. Scaffolding goes up a day or two before and comes down within the week.

  2. Yes. Panels need daylight rather than strong sun. A south-facing system in England makes 850 to 950 kWh per kilowatt each year, and most customers see it pay for itself in 7 to 11 years.

  3. Usually not. Roof panels on most houses count as permitted development. Listed buildings, flats and some conservation areas need consent, and we handle the application.

  4. Our batteries include backup, so the circuits you choose keep running from the battery and panels while the street is dark.

  5. Through the Smart Export Guarantee. Once you’re switched on we register your system with an export tariff, and payments arrive with your energy bill.

  6. 25 years on panel performance, 10 years on batteries and inverters, and an insured 10-year workmanship guarantee.
